Friday Scout

A busy week with a light at the end of the tunnel: we’re on holiday from tomorrow for a week!  Hooray.  We do have terrible luck with holidays and weather though, as I believe Somerset, where we are heading, will be wet wet wet.  We have a few garden visits planned and I am looking forward to sharing them here.

Here are some bits and bobs that I have collected this week:

A Hidden Garden in Brooklyn on Gardenista

An Artist’s Life on a Small Family Farm, a video from Food Farm Earth

Mini nurseries on the Telegraph

A newly discovered blog: beauty that moves

Amy Merrick’s blog is always amazing, here is some of her floristry work and some words about city living

Lovely feather garlands on Fig & Fauna

A visit to the Chelsea Physic Garden in London on Seeds and Stiches

Photographs from the Wilderness Festival by Quaint Living

  1. Hey I only just saw this. The timing couldn’t be more perfect! I just yesterday finally got around to making a start on what will hopefully become our vege patch. Currently it is a massive pile of old branches, a huge wouldn’t gate dumped on top of it and then the whole thing covered in a tangle of ivy, roses and grass… let me tell you I have my work cut out for me! Anyway I was just thinking that I should have a look for some garden websites to keep me motivated.
