We visited this amazing floating garden on Sunday through a National Gardens Scheme open day. The Downings Road moorings are home to a group of historic trading vessels which are now home to a creative, residential community. The boats are connected by walkways with are surrounded either side by lovely garden beds. I was completely amazed at what they had achieved in such an unusual place: trees growing on a boat! I would definitely recommend a visit next time they are open.
The moorings are very close to Tower Bridge and so we had a nice view of the new Olympic rings suspended above the river.
